The Rose Building

Local businessman and CPA Andy Block came to Walla Walla Creative Co. to help brand The Rose Professional Building — an aging downtown Walla Walla apartment building that Andy was renovating and converting into a multi-suite small business property.

Walla Walla Creative Co. helped name the venture and worked with Andy to develop and implement a cohesive brand, transforming the tired 1890s structure into profitable, vintage-chic, high-visibility business suites.

Since the downtown Rose Street building houses multiple discrete businesses, the brand needed to feel professional and credible but also conservative and understated enough not to upstage tenants’ diverse businesses.

Walla Walla Creative Co. developed a logo that evokes traditional turn-of-the-century hand-lettered business signage in high-contrast black and white, but in a nod to the name, includes a bright rose pink accent color resulting in a brand that feels period-appropriate and understated, yet still fresh and striking.

The downtown location offers excellent street visibility. Of course, maintaining occupancy is essential to the endeavor’s success, so Walla Walla Creative Co. designed and created a signage system that can add or remove notice of office space when available, along with multi-scale location branding, wayfinding, and an easy-to-update business directory.
