Portico MLA
Portico Music Literature & Art is Professor Karlyn Bond’s developing personal creative project and educational meeting place for lovers of classical music, literature, and art.
Walla Walla Creative Co. created her overall brand and materials, packaging, website, and subscription-based commerce platform.
Karlyn loves English country homes, symmetry, and the color yellow. Portico MLA needed to feel Classical and classic. Rich and detailed, but also clean and refined. The brand elegantly Incorporates a literal stylized portico with custom typography.
Packaging for Dr. Bond’s reissued audio CD of her solo piano music from the Regency period was redesigned to coordinate with the Portico brand.
The Portico website was created to be a subscription-based commerce platform including synchronous and asynchronous courses on the subjects of music, literature, and art, as well as a portal for selling access to live (and archived) concert series.
After her move to chair the Walla Walla University Department of Music, Karlyn narrowed the scope of the site to host her personal blog, bio, and point of contact. It continues to host information about her CD.
