Marguerite 

Owned and operated by Peggy Frasse, Walla Walla based boutique market Marguerite offers provisions and treasures for a globally inspired home and table.

Walla Walla Creative Co. helps Peggy refine and implement the brand across her business papers, advertising, location signage, and products.

 

Marguerite is located inside “The Showroom on Colville” — a unique vintage car dealership building converted into indoor shops. This configuration leads to interesting challenges for signage since there is both exterior and interior presence, but also a hybrid space that is indoors but outside of the shop. We added a yellow blade sign and exterior-style painted birch dimensional lettering above the shop’s curved window, but then also deployed A-signs outside at each entrance. And we used a yellow background treatment to help the lightweight logo compete on the building’s business listing signage. We also added a point-of-purchase counter sign and designed a chalk sign for hours and frequently updated information.

 

The boutique-style fine and lightweight Marguerite logo requires plenty of white space and careful type design. We reset and customized the logo type and use a consistent font for all pieces — business cards, stickers, magnets, labels, bags, packing materials, etc. We also added a reverse treatment on yellow for more impact where needed to be used alongside the standard white background treatment.

 

Marguerite also has a small but growing line of self-branded products which we have developed labeling systems for.
